23 Apr 2007 - RXW: I am sorry you got fired my dear.
MH: No I mean hey...Roxanne I mean as far as firings go [sigh] I could not...I nobody wants...you know the deal. Nobody wants to get fired. But if you are going to get fired and Mr. Trump is complimenting you on your way out , I mean there are worse things there are worse...
RXW: Absolutely. Well you know we have a connection because I am from Trinidad, so we have the Caribbean thing going on.
MH: Oh!
RXW: What are you thoughts after watching last night's episode?
MH: My thoughts after watching last night's episode is that you know listen I have really, I am just incredibly proud to have represented my country and just other young people who will not go below a certain level. Umm, I really believe that I did my absolute best and I accept that that was enough. I believe that the Lord was with me to the last moment because no one could dispute that my work ethic was stellar. And I thought that the whole boardroom...that I handled it in a very professional way and...you know the only concern I had going in, and this was the only one…was not that I would be fired but that I wouldn't be my best...you know and I was absolutely 150% my best and I can't ask for anything more. You know umm...it is what it is. You know how it is, you have to accept the reality. I couldn't ask for anything more. I am proud. Very proud. [Jamaican laughter]
03 May 2008 - Intelligence, ambition, and congeniality are traits that enabled Wilson to secure a spot on the show. Along with the ability to lead and counsel, these same traits contribute to Wilson’s success as an appellate attorney, business owner, television host, speaker, and author.
22 Oct 2007 - It’s the scariest boardroom in corporate America. Between your CEO’s intolerance for failure, the daily ethical dilemma and do-or-die sales quota, chances are you’ll be made to look like a nincompoop in front of millions. Such is the premise of The Apprentice, NBC’s hit reality show in which real estate mogul Donald Trump tests (and crushes) young professionals vying for a position in his empire.Another lesson learned is you don’t get anywhere by throwing your weight around and overpowering others—not long term, anyway. “Leadership is more than taking control,” Wilson explains. “It is listening to your teammates and anticipating the needs of the whole group. Leaders persuade their followers, not dictate to them. If we wanted to win, we had to put prejudices and resentments aside and look for the strengths in each other.”
