Roxanne Wilson, an appellate attorney, author, popular television and radio personality, and well-traveled speaker, recently completed season five of NBC’s The Apprentice with Donald Trump, gaining rave reviews from “The Donald” himself. Roxanne was the first African-American woman to compete in the final four on the NBC hit show.

Roxanne is part of Austin’s Family Friendly Mornings on 105.9 The River. She brings the girl-about-town perspective through On The Road With Roxanne and is hands on with listeners and community activities like the Mammogram Mixers — Mammograms with a twist, and Tiara Tuesdays in conjunction with Austin Women Magazine.

Roxanne was the first African-American woman to make it to the final four on The Apprentice. Stating, ‘Roxanne is very, very smart…brilliant…she is really something.’ Trump continued stating, ‘You’re a very good speaker… I would like to have you represent me in court. You are very impressive.’

As co-host of Texas’ own Christian talent search program, Inspire The Desire, Roxanne encouraged young and old to reach for their dreams. Roxanne’s book Footprints In The Boardroom is an insider’s look at The Apprentice depicting how modern believers use their faith to overcome modern day challenges.

Roxanne is a national speaker, who is sought after by women’s organizations, Christian groups, colleges and universities, and young professional organizations. Roxanne’s lectures are inspiring as she challenges listeners to reach for the star within.

Being committed to the community, Roxanne dedicates her time and talents to support non-profit organizations. She  is a Make-A-Wish Foundation Ambassador and is an active member in The Junior League of Austin. Roxanne served as spokesperson the national  Make-A-Wish Foundation Destination Joy campaign presented by Lay’s and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Austin Affiliate Board of Directors

Roxanne is committed to maintaining a sound mind, body and spirit and as a certified Jazzercise Instructor and Franchisee, Roxanne enhances the lives of others through exercise and dance. She is a member of the Riverbend Church choir and founder of Untitled, Riverbend’s young professionals group and volunteer with Riverbend’s high school sophomore girls.

In addition to serving as an attorney at Winstead Sechrest Minick PC, Roxanne clerked for two justices on the Supreme Court of Texas after earning a law degree at the University of Michigan.

During her undergraduate studies at Baylor University, Roxanne was the first woman and second African American member of the prestigious Baylor Chamber of Commerce, for which she later served as President. Roxanne continues to serve as a Baylor Alumni Association Board Member, Student Life Advisor Board member, Baylor Business Network Austin committee member. Roxanne resides in Austin, Texas.
